Navi Mumbai: The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has announced an extension for the arbitration hearings related to Town Planning Schemes 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 under the NAINA (Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area) project. The new deadline for participation has been set as June 30, and CIDCO has confirmed this will be the final extension.
CIDCO was appointed as the Special Planning Authority for the Navi Mumbai International Airport influence zone by the Government of Maharashtra on January 10, 2013. As part of the NAINA development strategy, the agency is overseeing 12 town planning schemes aimed at organized and sustainable urban growth around the airport zone.
The arbitration hearings for Schemes 8 to 12 are currently in their final stages. However, several landowners were unable to attend earlier proceedings due to various reasons. CIDCO had initially extended the participation deadline to May 30.
Now, responding to appeals from elected representatives and to encourage wider stakeholder involvement, the deadline has been extended once again — until June 30, a statement issued by CIDCO, said.
“This is the final opportunity for landowners and stakeholders to be heard. We urge them to make full use of this extension and present their cases,” a CIDCO official said.
Landowners, citizens, and stakeholders are encouraged to visit the CIDCO NAINA office — located at Tower No. 10, 7th Floor, Railway Station Complex, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai — during office hours (11 AM to 5 PM), with all necessary documents to participate in the hearings.
CIDCO emphasized that active involvement in the process will help stakeholders secure their interests and contribute meaningfully to the shaping of this important development project.
