Nashik: The Anti-Corruption Bureau has arrested the Village Revenue Officer (Talathi) and Mandal Officer of Modale in Igatpuri taluka for soliciting a bribe of Rs 10,000 to process a change in the Satbara. A case has been filed at the Igatpuri police station.

The complainant's guardians own property in Modale village, which includes the village sample of the property, Satbara rights record sheet, and more. A record of changes indicated that there was a limitation on third party relations until the court's final verdict.

A directive was issued in this matter following the announcement of the verdict. Given this, the father of the complainant had requested the Tehsildar and the alleged Talathi Yogita Kachkure (42, Someshwar Colony, near ABB Company, Satpur) to annul the prior change record in accordance with the court ruling, according to Loksatta.

In return for handling the application and registering it, Yogita requested Rs 10,000 and took the payment. Wadivarhe Mandal Officer Dattatray Tile (35, residing in Bhagur, Nashik) requested Rs. 5,000 for himself in return for allowing the registration. Talathi Yogita was apprehended while in the act.

The operation was successfully conducted by Nashik Anti-Corruption Department Trap Officer and Police Inspector Sandeep Ghuge, along with Havaldar Ganesh Nimbalkar, Santosh Gangurde, and Nitin Netare from the team. The procedure for filing a case in this instance is in progress. Superintendent of Police Sharmishtha Gharge-Walawalkar instructed to ensure the trap's success.

If any government official or employee, or someone representing them, requests a bribe for performing or refraining from any government task, the Anti-Corruption Department urged immediate contact with the Anti-Corruption Department, Nashik.
