Mumbai: Due to the ban on the immersion of plaster of Paris Ganesh idols, the Charkopcha Raja, which has been waiting for immersion for the past few days, is finally being immersed today. After 117 days of getting permission from the court, the Charkopcha Raja has set off for immersion. Due to this, there is an atmosphere of joy among Ganesh devotees, and Bappa is being bid farewell to the sound of drums and cymbals. The Charkopcha Raja is being immersed in the lake at Dhanukar Wadi.

The immersion of Ganesh idols made of 'Plaster of Paris' in natural water sources was banned. Due to this, the immersion of Charkopcha Raja was delayed. Except for the 'Charkopcha Raja' mandal, all other mandals immersed their idols in artificial lakes.

However, this mandal decided to keep the Ganesh idol in the pavilion until further decision. Since the immersion of Charkopcha Raja was not done, uncertainty arose among Ganesh devotees regarding the immersion of Bappa. However, after the High Court's decision, the King of Charkop, who had been sitting in the pavilion for 177 days, has set out for immersion today.

There has been a huge struggle of six months behind the immersion of the King of Charkop, and Bappa had been sitting in the pavilion for so long, waiting for the court's decision.

Now, after getting the court's permission, a large number of activists have enthusiastically participated in the immersion of Bappa. The King of Charkop will be immersed amidst the sound of drums and cymbals and in a devotional atmosphere.
