Mumbai: The city of dreams has been under overcast skies since yesterday, even though there have been no warnings for unusual rain like those experienced in the previous week. The cloudy conditions offered some respite from the intense sunlight on April 18 but the city will continue to face high humidity levels.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that the dream city will see overcast conditions today, April 18. As we approach the weekend, the weather is expected to remain cloudy, dry, humid, and warmer than normal. Winds will be blowing at approximately 5 km/h, with humidity at 82%, no expected precipitation, and a temperature of 29 degrees Celsius as of 9 AM, creating light breezy conditions throughout the day due to the cloud cover. A rise in temperatures is expected as the day progresses.

Despite the high temperatures and humidity, there is no alert for a heatwave or rain for the city. The sunset is projected for 6:55 PM today.

Mumbai's Air Quality Index (AQI), according to the reports published by CPCB, is 70, indicating a 'Satisfactory' level of air quality. Many areas in Mumbai have good to satisfactory rankings, except for Chakala in Andheri, BKC, and Deonar, with AQI levels are 112, 113 and 121, respectively, with ranking in at 'Moderate' levels. People with respiratory issues are advised to minimise their outdoor work and use masks.
