Mumbai Traffic Police Issue Advisory For Maharashtra Ministers' Swearing-In Ceremony At Azad Maidan On Dec 5; Key Details Inside

The traffic regulations will be in effect on Thursday from 12:00pm until the conclusion of the programme. Since there are no parking facilities at Azad Maidan, people are requested to use public transport, particularly local trains. Several routes have been declared as no-entry zones during this period on Thursday.

Mumbai: The Mumbai Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory on Tuesday for the swearing-in ceremony of Maharashtra's new ministers, scheduled to take place at Azad Maidan on December 5. With a large crowd expected to attend the event, the advisory aims to ensure smooth traffic flow and minimise inconvenience to the public.

The traffic regulations will be in effect on Thursday from 12:00pm until the conclusion of the programme. Since there are no parking facilities at Azad Maidan, people are requested to use public transport, particularly local trains. Several routes have been declared as no-entry zones during this period on Thursday.

The Mumbai Police has requested the public to plan their journeys accordingly, as a significant gathering is expected at Azad Maidan and the surrounding areas on Thursday.

No Entry

CSMT Junction to Vasudev Balawant Phadke Chowk (Metro Junction) - Traffic will be prohibited in both directions.

Traffic shall be prohibited from Chafekar Bandhu Chowk (OCS Junction) to Vasudev Balawant Phadake Chowk (Metro Junction) in both bounds.

Mahapalika Marg - Traffic will be prohibited from CSMT Junction to Vasudev Balawant Phadke Chowk (Metro Junction) in both directions.

Chafekar Bandhu Chowk (OCS Junction) to CSMT Junction - Traffic will be prohibited.

Meghdoot Bridge (Princess Street Bridge) [Southbound] - Traffic from NS Road and the Coastal Road towards Shamaldas Gandhi Junction will be restricted.

Rambhau Salgaonkar Road (One Way) - The stretch from Indu Clinic Junction (Sayyed Jamadar Chowk) to Volga Chowk will be open for two-way traffic.

Optional Routes

LT Marg – Chakala Junction – right turn – DN Road – CSMT Junction – towards the desired destination and vice versa.

Maharshi Karve Road – towards the desired destination.

Chafekar Bandhu Chowk (OCS Junction) – Hutatma Chowk – Kalaghoda – K Dubhash Marg – Shahid Bhagat Singh Marg – towards the desired destination.
