Mumbai will host India’s first ever Inter Passenger Terminal Show (IPTS) in June to showcase the latest advancements, cutting-edge technologies, and innovative solutions in the field of airport passenger terminal design, operations, and enhanced passenger experiences.
In line with the Indian government’s aim to bring India among the top three aviation markets globally, trade show company Media Fusion will host the first ever IPTS 2025 with the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIAL) as the airport partner. The event, scheduled for June 11 and 12 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre will serve as a premier platform to showcase next-generation airport solutions, cutting edge AI/ML driven technologies and innovative passenger experiences and foster high-level industry collaboration.
The inaugural edition of IPTS will also feature an Inter Passenger Terminal Conference which is expected to unite leading airport designers, operations experts, and senior aviation executives. The conference is said to be held on the key themes including Innovative Terminal Architecture, Smart Technology Integration, Sustainable Terminal Practices and Future of Personalized Passenger Experiences.
The organisers are banking on the unprecedented growth in India’s aviation sector as investment in airport infrastructure is projected to exceed Rs60,000 crore during 2025-2027. The number of passengers at Indian airports is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8-9% across 2025-2027, with domestic traffic being the major contributor. According to ICRA, air traffic is projected to increase 8-11% year-on-year, reaching 407-418 million passengers this fiscal year. With India poised to become one of the world’s top three aviation markets in passenger traffic by 2052, the need for cutting-edge airport infrastructure and seamless passenger experiences has never been greater, said the organiser.

The event has been supported by Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC), a special purpose company constituted by the state government. “The revamped UDAN scheme is set to enhance air travel access in underserved regions, further fuelling growth. Under the new version of the scheme, 120 new destinations will be added, connecting 4 crore passengers over the next 10 years. India’s air passenger traffic rose 11% Y-O-Y to 1.46 crore in January, highlighting the urgent need for advanced airport infrastructure and efficient passenger management solutions,” said Swati Pandey, vice chairman and managing director of MADC.
