A technical issue led to the Rajyarani Express coming to an unscheduled halt on the fast track towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), just outside Kalyan station, earlier Monday morning. The incident resulted in a temporary disruption of main line fast suburban services of Central Railway (CR).
According to sources, the Rajyarani Express was halted at around 8:15 AM due to a technical fault. Railway authorities resolved the issue within 30 minutes, and the train resumed its journey towards CSMT shortly thereafter.

The halt caused a cascading effect, leading to several fast local trains being held up back-to-back for nearly 20 minutes. However, officials have confirmed that the issue has been rectified and train services have now returned to normal.
“Only a few fast locals were affected during the disruption, and all services are now running as per the normal schedule,” a railway official said.
