Mumbai: A shocking case of sexual harassment has come to light in Mumbai’s Borivali area, where a 37-year-old college principal has been arrested for allegedly molesting a 17-year-old girl student studying at the same college.
The accused was arrested by the MHB Police after a case was registered under the POCSO Act and molestation charges. He is currently in police custody, officials confirmed.
The minor victim, a resident of Nagpada, lives with her family and is pursuing her studies at a college in Borivali, where the accused served as the principal. According to the complaint, the principal had been attempting to get close to the girl for several months, engaging in inappropriate behavior and repeatedly harassing her.
Between June 2024 and May 2025, the accused allegedly made repeated sexual advances, molested the girl, and pressured her to enter into a romantic relationship with him.
Initially, fearing social stigma and humiliation, the girl remained silent. However, unable to endure the continued mental and physical harassment, she finally approached the MHB Police and reported the incident.

Senior police officers took her complaint seriously and filed a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act along with charges of molestation. The investigation is ongoing.
