Mumbai: According to IMD, Mumbai expects mild temperatures and scattered showers, with a 98% likelihood of rain later in the day, particularly in the afternoon on July 11. Residents ought to get ready by bringing umbrellas and ensuring they drink enough water. The prediction shows temperatures ranging from 27°C to 29.9°C, with humidity at 74% and wind gusts reaching 21.6 km/h.

Visibility is anticipated to be moderate at 9.3 km. Drivers should exercise caution because of the possibility of slippery road surfaces during intense rainfall in the afternoon. Morning hours might provide relief with reduced chances of rain.

The week ahead is set for persistent rain, with Monday expected to be the most torrential day, a peak temperature of approximately 29.1°C, and significant rainfall which could result in waterlogging. Subsequently, precipitation is anticipated to diminish, with temperatures increasing to approximately 30°C on Wednesday and Thursday, offering improved chances for outdoor activities.

The sky is expected to be mostly overcast, with moderate to heavy rainfall anticipated, especially affecting the Konkan coast and nearby regions. Anticipated comfortable temperature ranges are predicted (maximum 30-32°C, minimum 25-27°C), while humidity remains consistently high at 80-85%.

Winds could be moderate to strong, featuring gusts reaching 40-50 km/h during intense rainfall. Significant tides are anticipated, with a peak tide of 4.00 meters predicted at 11:25 am, causing worries about flooding in low-lying regions coinciding with intense rainfall.

Travelers should steer clear of areas susceptible to waterlogging and stay informed about traffic updates because of potential delays. It is advisable to take extra care when visiting the beach during high tide because of possible flooding. A yellow alert has been announced for intense rainfall starting July 12, while an orange alert is in effect for areas such as Raigad and Ratnagiri.
