Mumbai Rains: IMD Predicts Light To Moderate Rainfall Today; Yellow Alert Issued In Parts Of Maharashtra

IMD predicts light to moderate rainfall in Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada on August 3, following a decrease in precipitation. Heavy rains, strong winds, and thundershowers are expected in Vidarbha, with a yellow alert for certain districts.

Mumbai: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate intensity rainfall in Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada on August 3. The rainfall in these regions has been decreasing for the past few days.

The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains with strong winds and thundershowers in Vidarbha. A yellow alert has also been issued for some districts. The rainy weather is expected to continue in Vidarbha for the next three to four days. Let's see what the weather will be like in the state on August 3.

Mumbai is likely to have mainly cloudy weather with light to moderate rainfall. Thane, Palghar and Raigad districts are also likely to have moderate rainfall. The Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rainfall with thundershowers in Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts.

The Meteorological Department has predicted light rainfall in the districts of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed and Hingoli in Marathwada. While light to moderate rainfall with thundershowers is likely in Nanded, Latur and Dharashiv. Light rainfall with thundershowers is also likely in Nashik in north Maharashtra. Similarly, the Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rainfall in Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon and Ahilyanagar.

The Meteorological Department has predicted rain with thundershowers and strong winds in the city of Nagpur in Vidarbha. Similar rainfall is likely in Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia and Wardha districts, and the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for these areas. On the other hand, no rainfall has been forecast for Akola, Amravati, Buldhana, Washim and Yavatmal districts.

Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada regions are currently witnessing a decrease in rainfall. However, signs of rainfall are still present in Vidarbha. According to the Meteorological Department's forecast, the intensity of rainfall is likely to increase in Western Maharashtra and Marathwada regions in the coming days. The Meteorological Department has also informed that the intensity of rainfall will increase in many parts of the state in the second week of August.
