Mumbai: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Red Alert for Mumbai, warning of extremely heavy rainfall until 8:30 AM on May 27, 2025. The alert comes amid continuous heavy downpours in Mumbai, which have caused widespread waterlogging and disrupted normal life across the city.

Mumbai has been experiencing relentless rain since early Monday morning. One of the most impacted areas includes KEM Hospital, where water entered the ground floor, affecting patient services, including the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

Western Railway Slow Line Services Disrupted Due to Fallen Tree Branches
Suburban train services on the Western Railway's slow line were briefly disrupted on Monday after tree branches fell on the tracks near Parel station around 11:30 AM.
According to a Western Railway spokesperson, the obstruction was cleared by 11:59 AM, and normal train operations resumed within the next 30 minutes. While the incident caused minor delays in a few local services, swift action helped restore services promptly.
