Mumbai: The Kurla police have arrested four individuals from Bathinda in connection with an ATM theft that occurred in Nehru Nagar, Kurla (East). The incident took place when the suspects gained unauthorised access to a bank's ATM booth and stole Rs 307,500. They allegedly used counterfeit keys and a spy camera to observe and replicate the pattern lock used to secure the machine.

The robbery came to light when bank authorities discovered the tampered ATM and reported the loss. Based on the technical evidence and intelligence inputs, a special team from the Kurla police launched an investigation. Their efforts led them to Bathinda, where they successfully tracked and apprehended the four accused.

Upon their arrest, authorities recovered several incriminating items from the suspects. These included a car valued at around Rs 3 lakh, which was reportedly bought using part of the stolen money, Rs 20,000 in cash, three mobile phones, a spy camera, an internet dongle, counterfeit keys, and various burglary tools.

In another news story related to the Mumbai police the HDFC Bank donated 10,000 raincoats to the Mumbai Police on Monday, aiming to support officers working through the challenging monsoon season.
