The tender schedule indicates that documents can be downloaded online till June 27. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 20, 2025.

As per a senior PWD official, this major infrastructure initiative is part of ongoing efforts to demarcate and protect SGNP from unauthorized development and habitat degradation, ensuring long-term conservation of one of Mumbai’s most crucial environmental assets.

Advocate Godfrey Pimenta, a local resident of Andheri and a well citizen activist has welcomed the move of PWD. He said, “the retaining wall construction along the boundary of National Park will help prevent encroachment which is rampant across the park boundary be it Mulund, Goregaon. The compound wall will keep a check on encroacher and also protect the wild life.”
