Train services on the Down Harbour Line were briefly disrupted on Tuesday morning after a foreign object was found hanging on the overhead electric wire between Masjid and Sandhurst Road stations.
The issue was first reported at 7:32 am, when a Bandra-bound local train was detained for around 18 minutes due to the obstruction. Railway officials immediately rushed to the site and managed to remove the object, clearing the line by approximately 7:50 am.
The disruption caused a ripple effect, leading to delays in at least two other trains — a Panvel-bound and a Belapur-bound local — which were also held up during the incident.
As a result, several Harbour Line services were running behind schedule during the morning rush hour, causing inconvenience to thousand of commuters.
