Mumbai: The Mumbai Railway Police Commissionerate's official X account has shared a video of a Mumbai police railway head constable's valiant rescue of a passenger who lost his balance at the Byculla railway station in Mumbai and fell close to the tracks.

According to the Mumbai Railway Police Commissionerate's official account on X (@grpmumbai), the incident happened on March 22 at Byculla railway station. A passenger from a moving local train lost their balance and fell down the railway rails. On-duty Police Head Constable Amol Patil heroically dragged the passenger to safety, saving their life, and the post commended the officer for not wasting any time.

The post praised the on-duty police head constable Amol Patil for his brave act while informing the incident in the caption that read, "On 22/03/2025, at Byculla railway station, a passenger lost balance and fell onto the railway tracks from a moving local train. Without wasting a second, on-duty Police Head Constable Amol Patil bravely pulled the passenger to safety, saving their life. #BeyondCallOfDuty"

The constable and the man who had fallen off the train were seen kneeling down next to the running train near the grills in the video that was posted on the official page. The constable helped the man get up and get back on the platform after carefully crossing the tracks where the other police officers questioned the passenger about the incident. The head constable then climbed back while the passenger said he felt lightheaded and fell to the ground, displaying his injuries from falling on the rocks that were placed near the tracks where he fell off.
