The residents requested for intensified fogging and anti-larval spraying across the ward to curb dengue and malaria outbreaks and also highlighted an urgent need for pest control and garbage clearance around Carter Road wall to address severe rat menace. It also raised serious concerns regarding sewage flow into mangroves near Carter Road and demanded immediate redirection and monitoring.

Push for Property Tax Reform and Transparency

The participants requested the civic body for tree pruning near St. Paul Road and urgent action on tilted trees near the Morning Apartment in Bandra. A few citizens from Manual Gonsalves Road and Kadeshvari Road complained of poor water pressure and demanded sustainable solutions. They also highlighted severely damaged roads at 7th Road and outside P.D. Hinduja Hospital in Khar West, needing immediate repair and maintenance.

The residents also raised complaints about unauthorised nightlife venues in housing societies claiming that nightclubs disturb peace and violate regulations by functioning beyond permissible time. It also requested action and regulation of unauthorised hawkers through designated vending zones. A follow-up was also sought on court matters to vacate stays and initiate civic action against illegal commercial activities in residential buildings.

Demands were made to allow individual owners to pay property tax directly to the civic body as complaints surfaced against builders not paying property taxes for years despite collecting from flat owners. Citizens claimed that collecting tax directly from the residents would result in greater transparency in tax records, especially in litigated or redeveloped buildings.

Festival Preparedness and ALM Strengthening on Agenda

Residents demanded civic preparedness for festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi and Mount Mary Fair, for which they requested a transparent and inclusive stall allotment process. They also emphasised on strengthening ALMs, improving waste segregation, and ensuring regular garden and footpath maintenance. Similarly, they called for a citizen review and audit of the Bandra Fort restoration project, addressing concerns about quality, accessibility, and public involvement.
