Mumbai: The Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Ltd (MMMOCL) is set to introduce additional monorail services to help manage the heavy rush. The update was shared via an official post on their X account, @MMMOCL_Official.
According to the MMMOCL, the delays experienced by the passenger on Monday morning that was due to a technical issue in the rolling stock, which has led to increased frequency gaps in monorail services. To address the inconvenience faced by passengers during peak hours, the authorities have planned to introduce the addition of monorail services to ensure smoother travel for the daily commuters.
In an X post shared by the Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Ltd, stated, "To ease the current rush and ensure smoother travel, we are introducing additional Monorail services. We request your patience and cooperation as these extra trains make their way to your station. Our teams are also actively working to resolve the existing technical glitches, and we sincerely appreciate your support during this time."
In an earlier post, the MMMOCL said, “Due to a technical issue in the rolling stock, train services on the Monorail are currently running with delays and increased frequency gaps. We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused and request your patience and cooperation.”
The post also mentioned that the technical glitches are being worked on actively by their teams. The agency assured commuters that every effort is being made to resolve the issue at the earliest.
The glitch occurred on Monday morning and caused delays across the Monorail network. The announcement of the additional services comes as a relief to many daily commuters who rely on the Monorail for their travel.
