Mumbai: In a disturbing incident reported from Mumbai’s Dadar area, a customer allegedly discovered a metal nail in a 'Black Current falooda' drink he ordered via the Zomato food delivery app. The shocking experience was shared online by the consumer, Vaibhav Vikas Patil, who described it as 'life-threatening and very scary.' He claimed that while consuming the drink, he unexpectedly found a nail, which posed a serious risk to his safety.

The order was placed from 'Bawa Falooda', a dessert shop located in the Nagpada area near Byculla. The outlet is known for serving a variety of desserts, ice creams, shakes and beverages.

Costumer Shares Ordeal In X Post

Patil had ordered falooda from the shop to his Dadar address through Zomato and later took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share his alarming experience. Along with his post, he uploaded photographs and a video clearly showing the nail he claims was found in the drink.

In his social media post, Patil tagged several authorities and public figures including the Mumbai Police, FSSAI India, Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS leader Sandeep Deshpande, demanding accountability and action.

Mumbai Police Responds To Viral Video Post

Reacting to the post, Mumbai Police responded promptly, acknowledging the video and urging him to lodge a formal complaint at the nearest police station so appropriate action could be taken. "Please file a complaint at your nearest police station for necessary action," replied Mumbai police on his video post.

No Clarification Issued By Bawa Falooda Or Zomato

Despite the public attention the post received, as of now, there have been no official statements or clarifications issued either by the dessert outlet Bawa Falooda or the food delivery platform Zomato.
