Mumbai: A day after India launched precision airstrikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) under Operation Sindoor, the Shiv Sena (led by Eknath Shinde) installed massive hoardings near Mumbai’s Dadar Station on Thursday to hail the Indian Army and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The posters, placed on the Tilak Bridge, feature large images of PM Modi in stylised Army and Air Force uniforms, along with messages lauding him for the successful execution of the cross-border operation.
The text on the hoardings congratulates the Prime Minister for leading the nation with resolve and guiding the armed forces during the operation, which reportedly killed over 80 terrorists. At the bottom of the posters, the message is signed off by “Eknath Shinde and the Shiv Sena family,” clearly indicating that the Shinde faction of Shiv Sena put them up.

Shinde Lauds Operation Sindoor
On Wednesday, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had issued a strong statement in support of the strikes, calling Operation Sindoor a fitting reply to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 innocent lives. “This is just the trailer… the movie is yet to come,” Shinde declared, echoing the mood of retaliation and resolve that has swept across India in the wake of the attack.
Shinde further thanked Prime Minister Modi and the Indian Armed Forces, saying, “They have done a terrific job. Innocent people were killed in Kashmir’s Pahalgam in front of their families… Justice has been served to the people of the country.”
About Operation Sindoor
Operation Sindoor is being seen as one of the most strategically coordinated tri-services operations in recent Indian history, involving the Army, Air Force, and Navy. Lasting just 23 minutes, the strikes hit nine specific terrorist hubs associated with groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen. Among the primary targets were JeM’s headquarters at Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur, LeT’s Markaz Taiba in Muridke, and terror camps in Muzaffarabad and Kotli.
The mission also carried symbolic weight. PM Modi personally named the operation “Sindoor,” a reference to the vermillion worn by Hindu married women, as a tribute to the widows created by the Pahalgam attack, sending a strong emotional and strategic message both at home and abroad.
