Mumbai: A shocking incident took place in Kandivali West has led to the death of a 30-year-old carpenter and the following arrest of his colleague, named Jamir Uddin Alam (25). The unfortunate incident occurred on April 20th at Divine Internity P2, located across from Bhatia School.
As per the grievance lodged by Manoj Chauhan (28), a carpenter who has lived in the same building for many months, the conflict that resulted in the death arose from what appeared to be a trivial dispute. On the evening in question, Manoj, the deceased Jitendra Chauhan (30), the accused officer Alam, and around 10-12 other workers were at the site.
Manoj mentioned that he, Satyendra Bahadur, and Alam were watching a game on their smartphones when Jitendra came, involved in a loud phone call. Alam supposedly instructed Jitendra to quiet down, which reportedly triggered an aggressive reaction from the deceased. Jitendra reportedly slapped Alam, challenging his tone by asking, "Are you showing your superior's arrogance towards me?".
This provoked a clash between Alam and Jitendra, which Manoj and Satyendra stepped in to halt. Nevertheless, the circumstances changed to become fatal afterward. While Jitendra was on the second level of the building, Alam reportedly pushed him.

The drop from the second floor led to a serious head trauma for Jitendra, resulting in considerable bleeding. His coworkers quickly took him to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali. Sadly, doctors announced his death a few hours afterward.
The police in Kandivali have acted quickly following this event. They have filed a case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act and have arrested the suspect, Jamir Uddin Alam, regarding the death of Jitendra Chauhan. Additional inquiry into the issue is presently in progress.
