Mumbai: In a shocking case of theft, a young man stole ₹3.5 crore from his own father’s office safe at Opera House. Following a complaint, the DB Marg police registered a case and arrested the accused, identified as Nirmam Jogani.

According to DB Marg police, the incident took place at Panchratna Building, Opera House. The complainant, Vipul Jogani, is a diamond trader with an office in the area. Unbeknownst to him, his own son, Nirmam Jogani, had meticulously planned the theft.

A police officer revealed that Nirmam cleverly made an imprint of his father’s safe key on a bar of soap and used it to create a duplicate key. On the night of February 20, he used the fake key to unlock the safe and stole diamonds worth ₹3 crore along with ₹5 lakh in cash.

When Vipul Jogani discovered the theft, he immediately filed an FIR at DB Marg police station. The police launched an investigation, analyzed CCTV footage, and followed various leads. The findings delivered a shocking blow to the complainant—the culprit was none other than his own son.

Following the evidence trail, the police arrested Nirmam Jogani. The authorities are now investigating whether he acted alone or had accomplices in executing the heist.
