Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Thursday directed the directors of Ecstasy Realty Pvt Ltd, including promoter Shobhit Rajan, Pulin Bole, and Shivani Varma, to cooperate with the ongoing probe by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) into an alleged financial fraud, and appear before the investigating officer on specified dates.

The three accused have moved the HC seeking pre-arrest bail after a sessions court rejected their pleas. The EOW has registered a case involving serious allegations of cheating, criminal breach of trust, forgery, misappropriation, and siphoning of large sums through complex financial transactions.

The EOW also alleged that the accused have not been cooperating with the investigation. The judge further noted the absence of any proactive report from the prosecution outlining the investigation conducted thus far, especially prior to the registration of the FIR on June 11 this year. Despite allegations of noncooperation, the accused have agreed to appear before the EOW on July 23-24 between 10 am and 1 pm and again from 3 pm to 5 pm.

They have also been directed to remain available for questioning on July 30-31, if required, during the same timings. In the meantime, the HC extended the interim protection from arrest granted earlier, which bars any coercive action against the accused until the next hearing on August 7. During the hearing, the counsel for the complainant raised serious concerns about the accused being a flight risk and urged the court to prohibit them from travelling abroad without prior permission.
