Mumbai: Mumbai-based Instagram influencer Ruchika Lohiya, took to social media to share a traumatic cab experience during her recent trip to Delhi, involving both Rapido and Uber.

According to Ruchika, she had booked a Rapido ride from Delhi Airport and requested the driver to turn on the AC. However, the driver responded angrily, saying, “It will be turned on at my will. If you need the AC that badly, book another cab,” she claimed in a video posted online.

Following the incident, she approached the Rapido help desk. While the staff were polite and tried to assist her, she had to book an Uber to continue her journey to Noida.

Midway through the long ride, Ruchika reportedly fell asleep. When she woke up, she noticed the driver was filming her on his phone. At first, she thought he might be watching one of her Instagram videos, but she soon realized that he was actually recording her.

Panicked, she messaged her sister and shared the cab number. Her sister advised her to exit the cab immediately.

Pretending to be unaware of what the driver was doing, Ruchika observed him texting someone. She then told him that she needed to hand something over to a friend who had just arrived. Seizing the opportunity, she grabbed her suitcase, got out of the cab, and ran to a crowded area, where she booked another ride.

She described the incident as one of the most traumatic experiences of her life and expressed feeling extremely unsafe in Delhi, adding that this perception will never change.

The video which was posted a day ago, has garnered 95,786 likes.
