Mumbai: A 56-year-old police constable attached to the Vikhroli Traffic Department was found dead in an apparent suicide at his residence in Vikhroli on Sunday morning, officials said.
The constable was discovered unresponsive by his wife around 8:30 am. She immediately alerted authorities.
Local police visited the residence and have registered an accidental death report (ADR). While the exact cause of the suicide is yet to be determined, an investigation is currently underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his death.
