Navi Mumbai: As part of the recently conducted Seva Fortnight, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) resolved 1,614 consumer complaints across its Kalyan Circle. The initiative also saw the issuance of 5,590 new electricity connections and the successful processing of all 746 pending applications for name changes on electricity bills.
Held between April 28 and May 12, the Seva Hakka Pakhwada (Right to Service Fortnight) was aimed at addressing long-standing service issues, including new electricity connections, billing concerns, and customer grievances. The campaign was conducted under the guidance of Dilip Jagdale, Joint Managing Director of MSEDCL's Konkan Regional Division, and Chandramani Mishra, Chief Engineer of the Kalyan Circle.

Out of 5,732 pending applications for new connections, 5,590 were successfully completed. In addition, all 746 requests for name changes on electricity bills were processed without delay.
MSEDCL also received 1,644 online applications and complaints through its portal during this period, of which 1,614 were resolved promptly, a spokesperson from MSEDCL said.
