Mumbai: In a heartwarming initiative for Konkan residents, Minister Nitesh Rane has announced the launch of two special Ganpati Modi Express trains to facilitate travel from Mumbai to Konkan for the Ganeshotsav festival.
Marking the 13th year of this popular service, the trains will offer free travel, meals, and water to devotees, ensuring a comfortable journey to their hometowns.
About The Service
The Ganpati Special Modi Express trains will operate on August 23 and 24, 2025, departing from Dadar Railway Station at 11:00 AM. On August 23, the train will stop at Ratnagiri and Kudal, with its final destination at Sawantwadi.

On August 24, the train will halt at Vaibhavwadi and Kankavali, also terminating at Sawantwadi. Both trains will depart from Platform 14.Ticket distribution for these special trains will begin on Monday, August 18, 2025.
Devotees are requested to register their names with their respective mandal presidents to secure tickets. Minister Rane emphasized that this initiative is a token of gratitude to the people of Konkan, particularly from Kankavali, Devgad, and Vaibhavwadi, for their continued support to the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Rane family in recent elections.
“This year, we are doubling the joy with two special trains to ensure more devotees can celebrate Ganeshotsav in their hometowns. We are committed to making this journey seamless and memorable,” said Minister Rane, urging all Konkan residents to take advantage of this free service.
