Mumbai: Maharashtra's Sikh community met Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, on Wednesday in New Delhi to invite him for the ๐๐๐๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ก๐๐ก๐ข๐๐ข ๐๐ก๐๐ญ๐๐๐๐ญ๐ข ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ ๐๐ฆ ๐จ๐ their ninth guru, '๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ข ๐๐ก๐๐๐๐๐ซ ๐๐ซ๐ข ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฎ ๐๐๐ ๐ก ๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ฎ๐ซ' later this year.
Malkit Singh Bal, convenor of the state-level organising committee, said that Shah ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐๐ง๐๐ at the event. Singh, who is the executive chairman of the Maharashtra State Punjabi Sahitya Akademi, was accompanied by Jaspal Singh Sidhu, co-convenor of the samagam.

The samagam will be held in three places in the state, Nanded, Nagpur, and Mumbai. The year-long event will commemorate the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur and his family in Delhi in 1675 CE following the support he extended to Kashmiri Pandits who were facing forcible conversion to Islam. A shrine in Delhi, the Shishganj Gurudwara, commemorates the sacrifice.

In Mumbai, the event will be held on December 21 and 22. "The aim of the commemoration is to take the story of Guru Gobind Singh's sacrifice to every home in the state. He became a martyr to save Hindus," added Singh.
Maharashtra's Sikh community, including the Sikligar, Banjara, Lubana, and Sindhi Hindus who believe in Guru Nanak, the founder of the Sikh faith, are taking part in the organisation of the event.
