Mumbai: People who are dedicated to building the party are joining us, and we must work together in unity. Not everyone may get prominent positions, but one must prove their capability even through smaller responsibilities, said NCP National President and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
Ex-Hadapsar MLA Babar's Entry Seen as Strategic Boost to NCP in Pune
Mahadev Babar, former UBT MLA from Hadapsar, officially joined the party today along with a large number of his supporters. Leaders and office bearers from Pune, Sangli, Hingoli, Ratnagiri, Nanded, and Hadapsar also announced their entry into the party.
NCP Leadership Gears Up for Local Body Elections With Statewide Tours
Pawar praised Babar’s decision, recalling their past working relationship and stating that his entry will strengthen the party’s presence in the city.
He also mentioned that local body elections will be held soon. Post the Assembly session, Ajit Pawar will tour Maharashtra, while State President MP Sunil Tatkare will start his own tour earlier. “We must have inclusive politics, following late Yashwantrao Chavan. Through various departments, we are working to solve common people’s problems,” said Pawar.
Pawar called on new entrants to make additional efforts to strengthen the organization and to focus on mass member registrations. “We must function as one NCP family and spread our presence in every district of Maharashtra.”
Strict Message: No Entry for the Unethical or Arrogant
Ajit Pawar also stressed that no one involved in unethical activities should be inducted into the party. “Reputation matters. There must be zero tolerance for any disrespect toward women. No one should behave arrogantly,” he cautioned. “One can build an empire from scratch, never underestimate the value of any task,” he advised.
Tatkare: NCP Committed to Social Equality and Mass Development
MP Sunil Tatkare added that while driving development, the party is committed to the ideology of social equality as envisioned by Shivaji Maharaj, Shahu Maharaj, Phule, and Dr. Ambedkar.
The party’s foundation day was recently celebrated in Pune-Balewadi. Tatkare said the influx of new members is growing rapidly and halls are now falling short to accommodate them — in the future, party inductions may have to be held in open grounds.
Tatkare expressed confidence that under Pawar’s leadership, the party will grow stronger and secure unprecedented success in upcoming local body elections.
