A massive fire broke out on Wednesday evening at the Artemis Electricals’ factory housed in a four-storey building in the industrial area of Vasai, located in Maharashtra's Palghar district. The fire, which erupted around 7 pm, quickly spread through all four floors of the building, fueled by the flammable materials stored inside.

Palghar, Maharashtra: A massive fire broke out on Wednesday evening at the Artemis Electricals’ factory housed in a four-storey building in the industrial area of Vasai, located in Maharashtra's Palghar district.

The fire, which erupted around 7 pm, quickly spread through all four floors of the building, fueled by the flammable materials stored inside. Thick black smoke billowed into the sky, visible from several kilometers away, prompting alarm among local residents and workers in the area.

According to officials, no casualties or injuries have been reported so far. Firefighting teams from the Vasai Virar Municipal Corporation (VVMC) were swiftly deployed, with four fire tenders dispatched from various stations to battle the blaze.

“Preliminary reports indicate that there are no injuries or loss of life,” an official stated. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this stage. Authorities have stated that a thorough investigation will be carried out once the fire is fully brought under control and the premises are deemed safe for inspection.
