Maharashtra News: Man Stabs Sex Worker In Nagpur's Red Light Area

A man stabbed a 30-year-old sex worker in the red-light area of Nagpur. The accused verbally abused her, kicked her, and beat her with sticks. He then stabbed her in the neck with a sharp weapon before fleeing the scene.

Maharashtra: In a shocking incident, a 30-year-old sex worker was stabbed in the neck by a man in the red-light area of Nagpur, Maharashtra, police reported on Tuesday. The attack occurred around 7:30 AM on Monday.

According to PTI report, Ravi Tandon, a 40-year-old resident of Durg in Chhattisgarh, visited her home in the Ganga-Jamuna red-light area. During the visit, he verbally abused her, kicked her, and hit her with sticks. He then stabbed her in the neck with a sharp weapon before fleeing the scene. She was immediately taken to a private hospital for treatment, where she is currently receiving care, according to officials from Lakadganj police.

Nagpur Businessman Loses ₹54.35 Lakh in Cryptocurrency Scam; Police File Case

In a recent cybercrime incident from Nagpur, a 38-year-old businessman was reportedly cheated out of Rs 54.35 lakh in a cryptocurrency-related fraud. Authorities have begun a probe into the matter, registering a case against unidentified individuals who operated through two fake cryptocurrency trading platforms.

As per police sources, the victim is a Nagpur resident who runs a business dealing in electrical supplies. The fraud began in February when he came across a woman’s profile on Facebook, who introduced herself as a beautician.

Their interaction started through chats and video calls, during which the woman claimed she had made significant profits through cryptocurrency investments.

Gaining the businessman’s trust, she shared links to two cryptocurrency trading applications along with the contact details of a person supposedly managing the apps. Acting on her advice, the businessman downloaded the apps and created profiles on both platforms.
