Mumbai: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra has achieved a significant milestone in its organizational efforts with the formation of 1,221 mandals (local party units) across the state. Out of these, 963 mandal presidents have already been appointed.
Following the principle of "Organization is True Strength," the BJP is laying a strong groundwork across Maharashtra in preparation for future political battles.
This organizational drive is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening the party’s presence in all regions of the state when local bodies elections are on the corner. Notably, 258 of the newly announced mandals are newly established, marking a fresh expansion of BJP’s grassroots network.
The regional breakdown of the mandals is as follows:
Konkan-Thane region: 184 mandals
North Maharashtra: 184 mandals
Western Maharashtra: 222 mandals
Vidarbha: 313 mandals
Marathwada: 207 mandals
Mumbai region: 111 mandals
These appointments reflects BJP’s intention to expand its influence based on public support and a disciplined approach.
Under the leadership of Ravindra Chavan, this marks the beginning of a focused and organized strategy as BJP gears up for the upcoming local body elections. The party aims to deepen its reach into rural areas and establish direct communication with the common voter.
