Palghar, Maharashtra: A 32-year-old man was brutally murdered on Monday night in Nalasopara East’s Pragati Nagar area, under the jurisdiction of Tulinj Police Station. The deceased, identified as Ambar Rashid Khan alias Guddu Khan, worked in the catering business and lived alone in the Hindustan Colony building in Pragati Nagar. According to police sources, Khan's sister, Chandni, became concerned when he did not answer her repeated phone calls around 8:30 pm. She then contacted a family acquaintance, Bablu Gupta, an auto-rickshaw driver residing in Nalasopara, and asked him to check on her brother.
Upon arriving at the residence, Gupta found the door unlocked and discovered Khan lying in a pool of blood with visible head injuries. A blood-stained hammer and a piece of tile were found beside the body. He immediately informed the Tulinj Police.
