In a decisive move to strengthen digital governance and transparency, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed that all government departments upload their notified citizen services on the 'Aaple Sarkar' portal without delay. Departments failing to comply will face a daily fine of Rs1,000, he warned.
This directive came during a high-level war room meeting chaired by the CM at the Cabinet Hall in Mantralaya. The meeting reviewed progress on various initiatives including tribal welfare schemes, notified services on the portal, the implementation of government medical colleges, and the AgriStack project.
Out of 1,027 services notified under the Right to Services Act, only 527 are currently available on the Aaple Sarkar portal. The CM instructed administrative departments to ensure that all remaining services are uploaded in a time-bound manner.
He also directed that MahaIT should verify and certify the digitisation of services and explore technical upgrades that enable citizens to access multiple government schemes using a single application form.
The CM further emphasised the need for a robust tracking system that uses advanced technology to provide real-time updates on the delivery of welfare benefits. This system should help tribal communities, farmers, students, and the general public monitor the status of their entitlements effectively.
The government has also invited suggestions on new services that could be brought under the Right to Services framework. Departments have been asked to submit proposals for additional services by September 15, 2025.
