Navi Mumbai: The Maharashtra Home Department has appointed four new Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) to Navi Mumbai as part of a wider administrative reshuffle involving 65 police officers across the state. The reshuffle also includes the transfer of two existing ACPs from Navi Mumbai to new postings elsewhere.
About The New Appointments
These new appointments follow recent structural changes in the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate, which saw the addition of a new division, Belapur Zone-2, and the creation of new ACP posts in both the Rabale and Kharghar divisions.
As part of the reshuffle, Vikram Ramakant Kadam, who previously served as the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) in Khalapur, has been appointed as an ACP in Navi Mumbai. Similarly, Rahul Raosaheb Dhas, who was the SDPO in Phaltan Sub-Division, Satara, has also been assigned as ACP. Vijay Nathu Chaudhary, who served as Additional Superintendent of Police with the Anti-Corruption Bureau in Pune, has joined the Navi Mumbai Police in the same capacity. Yogesh Ashokrao Gawde, who held the position of ACP in Mumbai City Police, has also been transferred to Navi Mumbai.
Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe confirmed that these newly appointed officers will soon be reassigned internally to specific zones within the city. He also indicated that an internal reshuffle is underway to streamline these appointments.
Meanwhile, ACP Vishal Vasant Nehul, who was serving with the Port Division in Navi Mumbai, has been transferred to Raigad district, where he will take charge as SDPO in Khalapur. Additionally, ACP Pradeep Girijanath Tidar, who was stationed at the Dial 112 emergency response unit in Mahape, has been transferred to Mumbai, where he will serve as Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Maharashtra Cyber Cell.
