India's Got Latent Row: Maharashtra Cyber Cell Asks YouTube To Delete Controversial Episodes; Participants & Audience Under Scrutiny

In the latest update, Maharashtra Cyber Cell has written to YouTube and asked it to remove all the controversial episodes of India's Got Latent from its platform.

Mumbai, February 12: The controversy surrounding India's Got Latent is intensifying and Samay Raina's problems are increasing due to Ranveer Allahbadia's controversial remarks during the show. Several cases have been filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani and several other YouTubers in connection with the show.

In the latest update, Maharashtra Cyber Cell has written to YouTube and asked it to remove all the controversial episodes of India's Got Latent from its platform. The action has come as a result of the nationwide uproar over the derogatory remarks made by the host and the guests about parents and women during an episode of the show.

As per reports, the Cyber Cell has stated that action will be taken against all the 18 episodes of India's Got Latent which are under scrutiny. They also said that action will be taken against the jury members who used offensive language during the said 18 episodes. There are also reports that the statements of the audience present during these shows will also be recorded. They will be considered as witnesses in the investigation.

There are reports that officials have also said that action will be taken against the participants who used offensive language in the show.

Assam Police Joins Investigation

A team from the Assam Police has also arrived in Mumbai for investigation in connection with the matter. YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina will soon be interrogated.

FIR Registered in Guwahati

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday (February 10) said that an FIR has been registered in connection with the case. The Guwahati Police have filed a case against many YouTubers and social media influencers, including Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, Apoorva Makheeja, Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina.

Apoorva Makheeja Interrogated By Police

Social media influencer Apoorva Makheeja has been summoned and questioned by the Mumbai Police. She arrived at Khar Police Station to record her statement. Earlier, on February 11 night, she had attempted to give her statement, but she was asked to return the next morning due to the late hour.
