Mumbai: The three accused in the India’s Got Latent controversy—Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Makheja, and Samay Raina—are likely to appear at the Maharashtra Cyber Office today to record their statements. Sources indicate that these YouTuber-podcasters are in touch with cyber police officials and will present themselves at the designated time.

Earlier, Ranveer had recorded his statement at the Navi Mumbai Cyber Police Office along with fellow accused Ashish Chanchlani. Following his statement, Ranveer apologized to the police, admitting that his remarks were unethical.

After the controversy erupted over Ranveer’s obscene comments on the show, Samay Raina removed all episodes of India’s Got Latent from YouTube. The Supreme Court has also restricted Raina and his associates from broadcasting any show on YouTube or other platforms until further notice.

Raina addressed the situation on X, saying, "It has been extremely difficult for me to handle everything happening right now. I have removed all episodes of 'India’s Got Latent' from my channel. My only intention was to entertain people and make them laugh. I will fully cooperate with all investigating agencies to ensure a fair and thorough inquiry."

Rakhi Sawant Fails to Appear for Questioning : Actress Rakhi Sawant, who was summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell for questioning on Thursday, did not appear, citing her stay in Dubai.

Responding to the summons, Rakhi released a video on Instagram, saying, "There is no point in summoning me, friends. You can video call me, and I will answer all your questions. I am an artist. I was paid to attend an interview, and that’s all I did. I didn’t even use abusive language. So, why summon me?"

Referring to herself as a "beggar," she added, "I have no money to give you. I live in Dubai. I don’t even have work. What’s the point of calling me? It won’t benefit anyone. I request you to understand—I have committed no crime. I am a white-collar person." Notably, Rakhi had appeared as a judge on the show, and several of her short clips from it had gone viral on social media.
