Mumbai: In a recent interview, Shiv Sena Yuva Sena General Secretary Rahool Kanal spoke about welcoming Comedian Kunal Kamra in 'Shiv Sena style' when he comes back from Tamil Nadu. He further added that after the recent arrest over vandalisation of Habitat club in Khar, the Yuva Sena members who were arrested have been giving regular attendance at police station.

Rahool Kanal, General Secretary of the Shiv Sena Yuva Sena (Shinde faction), said, "Following the procedure of law, Yuva Sena members come to the police station for attendance every Monday and Thursday. We welcome the court's verdict that grants him relief, but it is only until April 7." according to reports by ANI.

He added, "No matter what protection he has there (in Tamil Nadu), whenever he comes to Mumbai, he will be welcomed in a good 'Shiv Sena style'... It's not a threat. Mumbai has this culture of 'Atithi Devo Bhava' and he considers himself a guest here (in Mumbai) now...What is there to get scared of, he should face the law and follow the procedure."

This fresh surge of allegations against Kamra comes after three more cases were lodged at the Khar police station. Included among the complainants are the Mayor of Jalgaon, a hotel owner, and a businessperson from Nashik. These grievances relate to Kamra's supposed offensive remarks directed at Shinde, which have garnered significant attention.

On March 27, the Mumbai Police issued a summons to Kamra for interrogation, instructing him to report to the Khar police station by March 31. This is Kamra's third summons related to a case brought by Shiv Sena MLA Murji Patel due to his noncompliance with the initial two summonses.

In the course of the legal proceedings, the Madras High Court awarded Kamra interim anticipatory bail on March 27, offering him respite until April 7. Kamra requested transit anticipatory bail from the court, asserting that he had been subjected to multiple threats after making his satirical comments. Justice Sunder Mohan's decision included specific stipulations but permitted Kamra to avoid immediate detention.
