Lonavala, Maharashtra: In an extraordinary moment captured on video, RSS swayamsevaks demonstrated unshakable discipline and unwavering spiritual focus when a snake slithered through their prayer formation during a rain-soaked Sangh Prarthana in a forested part of Lonavala.
Despite the sudden presence of the reptile and the continuous downpour, not a single swayamsevak moved. Standing shoulder to shoulder, soaked in rain, they maintained complete stillness until the prayer was completed.
The now-viral clip was posted by X user Mahaveer Jain, who wrote, "A snake appeared during the Sangh Prarthana in Lonavala, Maharashtra. The Swayamsevaks completed prayer without getting disturbed."
The incident highlights the deeply embedded values in the RSS tradition—dedication to purpose, spiritual strength, and unity. Swayamsevaks are trained to stay grounded, alert and composed in all circumstances, whether on the field, during disaster relief, or in moments like this.
As the snake moved through the group, volunteers neither panicked nor looked away. It was discipline not enforced, but lived—a rare sight in today’s fast-reacting world.
The video triggered a wave of admiration online:
