Now, the city's popular restaurant has stopped delivering food and is taking necessary steps to sanitise and disinfect the restaurant premises. Moreover, the restaurant authorities are reaching out to their customers and informing them so that they can take medical advice incase they see any symptoms.

Yauatcha Mumbai took to Instagram and said that "Inspite of taking all precautionary measures and ensuring the utmost level of hygiene, we are saddened to announce that a team member has tested positive for COVID-19 on 16th May, 2020."

"We are personally reaching out to everyone who has ordered from us in the last 14 days to let them know of the some so they can take necessary medical advice should they indicate any symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath) and/ or self-quarantine," the statement added.

Yautcha team further informed that the central kitchen will be closed "indefinitely for deep sanitisation and the full team is in self-isolation and being tested." "At the moment no other team members are experiencing symptoms but as soon as we have more information, we will share it here."

Yauatcha had earlier started takeaways and was delivering to Colaba, Chembur, Andheri and most areas in Mumbai. The restaurant has said that they were ensuring that the temperature checks of the team members are carried out daily and everyone's wearing their mask in the premises. Further, they also ensured that all the knoves, chopping boards, tables, door knobs etc are sanitised every two hours. And despite taking all the precautinary measures, the staff tested positive.
