Starting Sunday, the Navi Mumbai Metro Line No. 1 (Belapur to Pendhar) will operate on a revised schedule on Sundays and public holidays, CIDCO announced on Friday. The new timetable aims to facilitate preventive maintenance of metro trains while maintaining consistent service for commuters.
Under the revised schedule, the first metro will depart at 6 am from both Belapur and Pendhar stations. The last metro will leave Belapur at 10 pm and Pendhar at 9:45 PM. Trains will run at intervals of 15 minutes throughout the day on Sundays and public holidays.
CIDCO clarified that the revised schedule applies only to Sundays and public holidays. Regular metro operations on weekdays and Saturdays will remain unchanged, following the standard timetable.
"This adjustment ensures efficient upkeep of metro infrastructure without compromising commuter convenience, especially for those traveling on non-working days," a Cidco official said.
