The Charkop Police registered a case on May 4 against actor Ajaz Khan for allegedly raping a 30-year-old woman. According to the FIR, the woman accused him of raping her under the pretext of helping her get roles in TV shows and promising to marry her.
In a recent development, the police said that the accused, Khan, has not been traced yet and will be arrested.
As per the FIR, the victim, a resident of Kandivali West, is an actress who works in television shows. She was selected for the web series 'House Arrest' and went to Madh Malvani in Malad West for the shoot on March 17, 2025. Actor Ajaz Khan was the host of the show, and she was introduced to him during the shoot. However, she did not like the show and left it on March 22, 2025. Despite this, the web series team invited her to attend the show’s finale on March 24, which she did.
On the day of the finale, at the party, Ajaz Khan contacted her and asked for her mobile number. The following day, he called her and expressed that he loved her, adding that he wanted to marry her. She responded by suggesting that they talk in person. Later that day, he visited her residence, proposed marriage, and promised to give her work in multiple shows. He also assured her that she could continue working after marriage. When she told him that they had just met and that she needed to arrange money for her sister’s wedding, he reportedly offered to provide financial help. On the same day, he allegedly raped her. The woman further claims that Khan raped her at multiple locations, repeatedly promising to help her secure film roles.
Later, she filed a complaint with the Charkop Police, who have registered a case against Khan under Sections 64 (punishment for rape), 54(2)(m) (punishment for rape in certain cases), 69 (sexual intercourse by employing deceitful means, etc.), and 74 (assault or use of criminal force on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Ajaz Khan has worked in several films and was also a participant in Bigg Boss 7. Additionally, on May 2, the Amboli Police registered an FIR against Khan, others, and the Ullu App in connection with House Arrest for allegedly featuring obscene content and language.
