Mumbai: Social activist Anjali Damania has given a four-day ultimatum to Deputy Chief Minister and Beed Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar, stating that if no action is taken against Food and Civil Supplies Minister Dhananjay Munde within four days, she will approach the courts.

On Monday, Damania met with Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and presented some documents to him. She also showed the balance sheets of certain companies from Beed, claiming that the signatures on them were those of Dhananjay Munde and his wife.

Damania has demanded Dhananjay Munde’s resignation and warned that if no action is taken within four days, she will file a writ petition in court. Additionally, she appealed to the chief minister, stating that if any person close to him faces criminal charges, action should be taken against them.

Munde has been facing various allegations in connection with the murder of Beed sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh. There is a demand for his resignation due to his close ties with the accused, Walmik Karad. Damania has been persistently following up on this matter. She has met both Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar regarding the issue.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Damania said, “Minister Dhananjay Munde and Walmik Karad have financial connections, and I have provided all the evidence related to this to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. After verifying the evidence, Ajit Pawar should get Dhananjay Munde’s resignation within four days, or else I will write a letter to the Lokayukta and file a complaint. I will also approach the court.”

Fadnavis is currently in Delhi for a three-day campaign for the state election. Munde was also in Delhi on Wednesday.
