Mumbai: There is crucial information for Mumbaikars. Residents of the Andheri region will encounter a water shortage on Thursday. Water service will be halted for 11 hours in the Andheri West region on Thursday, June 19, 2025. The water service will be halted for the valve repair on the Bandra water line. Consequently, residents have been urged to conserve water efficiently.
According to several reports, the critical task of fixing the 1,350 mm diameter flow control valve on the Bandra water channel beneath the Gopalkrishna Gokhale Bridge and swapping the 900 mm diameter butterfly valve on the Vesave water channel will be carried out on June 19. This task will begin at 2 pm and will persist until 1 am on Friday, June 20. As a result, the water supply for the whole water channel must be halted for 11 hours.
During this maintenance timeframe, namely from 2 pm on Thursday, June 19, to 1 am on Friday, June 20, water service will be entirely cut off in certain regions within the K West Divisional Office boundaries. The local government has requested residents in these regions to collect enough water and utilize it carefully. Because of the consistent schedule of water delivery and the shorter repair duration, citizens will need to make plans.
The List Of Affected Areas:
On June 19, water cuts are reported in several areas including Parle West (Lallubhai Udyan, Lohia Nagar, Parle Gaonthan, etc.) and Moragaon (Juhu Gavthan No. 01 and 02), with regular supply timings set from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. Gilbert Hill, Andheri (West), including Juhu Gali and Sagar City Society, will have water supply from 10.00 pm to 12.30 midnight. The municipality urges residents to use water sparingly during this repair period, aiming for long-term system improvements.
