Mumbai: A man named Harsh Bhatia from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, visited a local police station in Mumbai along with a few individuals, reporting the disappearance of his 16-year-old daughter, Gauri.

According to Bhatia, Gauri went missing from their Agra residence on the evening of April 12 around 6:25 PM. A case under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has already been registered with the Agra police.

Based on initial information, Gauri was seen arriving at Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) at approximately 4:30 AM the next day, having travelled by train from Agra. CCTV footage captured her leaving the station with an unidentified male.

Since the Railway Police did not allow further access to additional CCTV footage, Harsh Bhatia sought assistance from the local police. Crime Detection Officer PSI Deshmukh and his team were immediately alerted and tasked with investigating the matter.

Upon reviewing CCTV footage from LTT’s external cameras at the police control room, the girl was seen exiting the station with the youth and re-entering shortly afterward. However, subsequent inquiries conducted at LTT did not yield any further clues. The findings were shared with Bhatia.

A team from Agra Police is expected to arrive in Mumbai soon, and local authorities are extending full cooperation in the ongoing investigation, Said DCP Navnath Dhawle.
