Khushboo Patani, sister of Disha Patani has carved herself a fanbase on Instagram with her regular fitness tips and tricks. She is a retired Indian Army Office (Major) and a fitness coach as well as an entrepreneur. Her dedication to fitness is often praised by her followers. She recently made headlines for rescuing a abandoned baby girl and looking after her until the baby was handed over to her parents.

In one of the reels she posted, she talked about how young girls should not believe the myth of self-defense.

In the beginning of the video she shares how a young girl approached her during her training session and asked to teach self-defense. Khushboo asked the girl what she exactly wanted to learn and the girl replied that she wanted to learn a few tricks, such as pinching the attacker in order to escape.

In response, Khushboo explained that there is no such thing as self-defense and it is all a myth. She explained how easy it is for trained coaches to teach self-defense to a non-trained student and make them believe they can defend themselves with certain moves. What truly matters is strength. 'I train everyday, I put in all my sweat and energy, break my bones and build a physique, which is why I have the strength to perform certain moves," she said.

She further emphasised on strength can be obtained from various set of exercises and by being consistent to them. 'You need to do pushups, running, pullups, chin-ups, perform HIIT and most important, you need to eat good food. Only then you gain strength." "When you consistently do this every single day, you also gain mental strength and start believing yourself. You gain confidence when it comes to defend yourself in a dangerous situation, " she added.

At the end of the video, she concluded by saying that if you ever find yourself in a situation where a stranger is harrasing you, hit them on the face, not the groin, not the stomach, but the face. "Sidha muh pe maariye aur naak tod dijiye," she concluded.
