Bollywood actress and mom-to-be Kiara Advani made her much-anticipated Met Gala debut in New York City and it was nothing short of iconic. Walking the famed steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the first time, the actress embraced this year’s theme, “Tailored for You”, with a deeply personal narrative woven into couture.
But what truly made her appearance historic? The glowing mom-to-be proudly flaunted her baby bump for the first time in public, turning heads in a striking creation by Indian designer Gaurav Gupta.

Kiara's Met Gala look, titled Bravehearts, wasn't just another red carpet moment; it was a sartorial love letter to motherhood, legacy, and inner strength. Bringing together Indian artistry and avant-garde fashion, Kiara stunned in a sculptural ensemble featuring an antique gold breastplate, meticulously embellished with delicate ghungroos and shimmering crystals.
The centrepiece of the design featured two sculpted hearts, one representing the mother and the other the unborn child, intertwined by a chain umbilical cord that symbolised their unbreakable bond.
Adding to the drama was a sweeping double-panelled cape, a respectful homage to the late fashion icon André Leon Talley. For the accessories, the actress kept it minimal with just a pair of dangling earrings and many statement rings.
For the glam, Kiara opted for a dewy, glowing makeup look and a middle-parted waves hairdo.
Reflecting on her Met Gala debut, Kiara shared in a statement, “Making my Met Gala debut at this point in my life, as both an artist and mother-to-be feels incredibly special. When my stylist, Anaita, approached Gaurav to design my look, he created 'Bravehearts', a vision that honours the transformative phase I’m stepping into connecting it beautifully to this year's dress code ‘Tailored for You.’ Inspired by the legacy of André Leon Talley, we reflected on what it means to show up with intention, individuality, and strength. This is a silent tribute to that — it’s a reminder that everything we do paves the way for the next generation.”
