Shloka Mehta Ambani wears many hats-entrepreneur, young mother, philanthropist, and a woman with a powerful purpose. Despite belonging to one of India’s most prominent families, her journey has always been rooted in values, simplicity, and service. In a candid conversation on Masoom Minawala’s podcast, Shloka opened up about her personal and professional life, sharing the philosophies that guide her.

A mother’s honest perspective

One of the most touching insights from the podcast was Shloka’s approach to explaining her work to her children. “Just like you go to school, Mama goes to the office,” she tells them before heading out each day. This gentle message does more than explain her absence, it subtly teaches them the importance of having a purpose, working hard, and continuing to grow, regardless of age.

For Shloka, work is more than a job-it’s a way to contribute meaningfully to the world. She believes in normalizing all kinds of careers and reinforcing that growth isn’t always immediate, but believing in your path is what matters most.

The birth of ConnectFor

Back in 2014, while many were still figuring out how to give back efficiently, Shloka and her childhood friend Maniti Shah decided to build a solution. After seeing a friend struggle to find credible volunteer opportunities online, the duo launched ConnectFor, a platform that links NGOs in need of resources with individuals who want to help.

What started as a small initiative has today become a vital part of India’s social impact ecosystem. ConnectFor has empowered over 1,000 non-profits, facilitated lakhs of volunteer hours, and continues to bridge the gap between goodwill and grassroots efforts. But Shloka is clear: creating the platform was just the beginning. “The real challenge is making sure it stays useful, educating people, keeping it going, and ensuring the impact lasts,” she said on the podcast.

Redefining legacy through values

Shloka’s idea of legacy isn’t rooted in wealth or fame. Instead, she’s driven by a desire to pass on values that shape how people think, feel, and act. “Legacy isn’t about what you leave in a will, it’s about what you leave in others,” she explained.

Even as she navigates the expectations that come with being part of the Ambani family, Shloka remains focused on staying grounded. She credits her support system, including her parents, in-laws, and husband Akash Ambani-for helping her stay centered and driven. “They’re not just by my side, they’re genuinely proud,” she shared with a smile.

Doing what feels right-Not what’s expected

There’s no “superwoman” narrative here. Shloka isn’t chasing perfection, headlines, or validation. Instead, her daily goal is to show up with intention. Some days that means prioritizing work. Other days it means spending time with her children. Most days, it’s a careful balance of both.

Her approach is refreshingly relatable: success isn’t about having it all, it’s about making conscious choices, staying authentic, and putting in the effort where it matters most.

The quiet power of purpose-driven women

In an age that often celebrates the loudest voices, Shloka Mehta Ambani proves that impact can be made quietly, with consistency and care. Her work through ConnectFor, her honesty as a mother, and her commitment to living with intention offer a blueprint for modern women trying to find their own balance.

She may not always be in the spotlight, but her story strikes a chord, because it’s real, it’s purposeful, and it’s built on the belief that doing your best is always enough.
