Mumbai: Superstar Shahrukh Khan's son Aryan Khan and five other accused arrested by the Narcotic Central Bureau in connection with acruise ship drug raid case were shifted to the general barrack in Arthur Road jail or Mumbai Central Jail on Thursday.

NB. Vayachal, Superintendent of Arthur road jail said, "On Wednesday we carried out an RT-PCR test of the six people lodged inside. The report was negative for COVID-19 for all. After a checkup on Thursday, all six were shifted from the quarantine centre in circle number 1 to the general barracks. We have them in different barracks. They are safe and are monitored by our officials," added Vayachal.

Sources from the prison department claim that Aryan, Arbaz Merchant and four people lodged inside are enjoying the food provided by the jail authorities. Sources claim they have received money orders from their parents and can use it for buying snacks and other food items from the jail canteen.

On October 8, the court ordered magistrate custody of the accused. They were kept in the quarantine centre for almost six days. "We are taking all security precautions to keep Aryan safe. However, no special treatment is given to him," said an official from the prison department.

Meanwhile, the special Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court is hearing a plea for bail to Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha in the matter.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Mumbai Court adjourned the hearing on bail applications of Aryan Khan and others for today.

The NCB had said that Aryan Khan would procure drugs from Arbaaz Merchant who was found in possession of six grams of charas during the raid.

A total of 20 people, including two Nigerian nationals, have been arrested so far in the case related to the seizure of drugs following a raid at a party on the Cordelia cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on October 2
