Youth Missing From Banganga Dies In Kshipra After Being Hit By Bus In Indore

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 24-year-old man who had come to his maternal grandfather’s house in Banganga area to celebrate Rakhi was killed after being run over by a bus while crossing the road in Kshipra police station area.

According to the police, the incident occurred at 2:15 pm in front of Suhani Nursery, Pirkaradia on the Indore–Dewas Road on Monday. The youth was attempting to cross the road when a bus struck and ran over him, leading to his death. Initially, his identity could not be established as no documents were found on him.

Later, Kshipra police station in-charge Kailash Solanki and his team checked with nearby police stations regarding missing persons. They came to know that a family from Banganga area had filed a missing report of a youth named Harsh alias Chhotu Prajapat (24), a resident of Alwar Road, Rajasthan who had come to Indore for Rakhi and had gone missing.

The Kshipra police contacted the Banganga police for the family’s number and called them for identification. The relatives confirmed the deceased was Harsh. Preliminary investigation suggests that the deceased had some mental problem and it is yet not clear how he reached the accident spot.

The police registered a case against the errant bus driver under relevant sections of BNS and further investigation is underway.
