Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): A high voltage drama unfolded in front of Neemuch Cantt police station on Thursday night, after an elderly woman abruptly stopped vehicles on road and threw Rs 500 notes to lure cops into filing her complaint.

She blamed PM Modi and CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan for 'inaction' after police did not pay heeds to her complaints about her violent son.

The woman was identified as Shantibai. In her complaint, she claimed that her own son Ashish Lot often beat her, but the police did not take action against him even after she repeatedly approached them.

“Whenever I asked cops to act against his unruly son, they demand money. That's why, today I’d brought Rs 25,000 in a bundle of Rs 500 notes and dumped it on the road in front of the police station,” Shantibai said.

Shantibai, a retired NCC employee had come to the police station on her scooty and also had a stick with her. The woman accused the police of corruption and also slammed the state government. She also raised questions on the Ladli Behna scheme saying that she does not need Rs 1,000.

Head constable Surendra Singh informed that there is a dispute between her and her son Ashish, who works as a dance teacher in Neemuch. This is not the first time, but about six months back, she lodged a complaint against her son and the matter is pending in the court. In her complaint, she claimed that her son had withdrawn money from her bank account.
